Who's Going to the Race
                    Where Should You Sit
                                        What's To Do

TRACK CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY
SECTION YOU SIT IN Section 52, Row 23
SECTION YOU FEEL IT IS BEST TO SIT IN The west side of the seats or the best near the entrance to pit row.  Most of the track action occurs at turn 4.
WHERE TO GO AT THE TRACK There aren't any shops at the track, it is just merchandise trailers.  The vendors are way too expensive for me so I bring food from home.
WHERE TO DINE IN THE CITY A great place for shopping and plenty of restaurants is Ontario Mills which is close to the track.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE THERE ALL WEEKEND Where a visitor might want to go if here for a couple of days would of course be the beach, South Coast Plaza, on the way to Robby's Anaheim shop. Disneyland, Knott's berry farm, Magic Mountain, Hollywood, Farmers Market to get tickets to TV tapings.
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR A NEW VISITOR I only live 45 minutes from the track so it is a fast drive and no traffic to the track and from the track, because I know which side streets to use. The track is located in Fontana, definitely not a city to plan a vacation to visit. Fontana is in San Bernardino County and is an hour from Los Angeles. 2 hours from San Diego, 1 1/2 hours from the beach, 30 minutes from Big Bear.

TRACK ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY
SECTION YOU SIT IN Petty Grandstands for Busch & Truck races & Weaver Section for Cup
SECTION YOU FEEL IT IS BEST TO SIT IN Petty Grandstands as it is non-alcoholic and on the front stretch; no worries about getting beer spilled on you or hit on by drunk dudes!
WHERE TO GO AT THE TRACK The merchandise haulers of course!
WHERE TO DINE IN THE CITY Dave & Buster's in Atlanta; there is no real good places to go within Hampton, which is where the track is really located
WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE THERE ALL WEEKEND Trek back up to Atlanta and hang out at Atlanta Underground
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR A NEW VISITOR Traffic sucks, though, the new bypass back to the north is supposed to fix that. Be prepared to sit in the parking lot for a couple of hours after a Cup race. The Truck and Busch traffic isn't as bad.  Also leave for the track several hours early to avoid long waits to get into the track

TRACK TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY
SECTION YOU SIT IN PU 406 Row 49 (Front Stretch five sections from start finish line.)
SECTION YOU FEEL IT IS BEST TO SIT IN ANY of the "PSL" seats They are from row 29 Section 128-428 They are individual Fold down seats. Very comfortable area, not in the sun usually by race time. If you sit on the backstretch you will roast.
WHERE TO GO AT THE TRACK If they are offering the five lap LEGENDS Car drives...DO it!! Only cost 25.00, they suit you up and send you off in a Legends car for five laps on the 1/5 mile track...one time and you will be hooked. Fun to watch too, people get in those cars and just can't handle it...They usually have a Legends race sometime during race weekend, lots of excitement and real exciting racing.
WHERE TO DINE IN THE CITY Shady Oaks Bar-b-Que, Fort Worth
WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE THERE ALL WEEKEND Spring race: Downtown Forth Worth for the Chevy Thunder in Sundance Square event...great event for seeing a ton of the Chevy drivers in one place. Usually have good "big" name bands in the evenings for free, tons of free give aways. Well worth the time. CAMP! The campgrounds are a ton of fun, and well worth it if you have the time. You may go in there only knowing the people you are with, but by the time you leave you will know all of your neighbors...very friendly atmosphere. (Oh and bring your beads...)
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR A NEW VISITOR Grapevine Mills Mall (they have a great go-racing outlet store...lots of NASCAR items at outlet/closeout prices...I usually shop here for all the stuff I take back for friends instead of the merchandise trailers), Bass Pro Shops are about 10 miles from the speedway up HWY 114 (near the DFW airport)...Six Flags in Arlington. Can usually catch a Texas Rangers baseball game in the Spring, Ameriquest Field is the Shrine to Baseball...that too is in Arlington. There is Speedzone on 35-E in Dallas, it is a place where you can drive all sorts of go carts, high speed and even dragster types. Fort Worth Stockyards...historic, and just a cool place to check out. (NO cows...ha!) The Metroplex has a TON to offer, everything is close!!

TRACK INFINEON RACEWAY
SECTION YOU SIT IN Turn 2 - Up High, or Down Low - You can see about 2/3rds of the track. There's a sweeping uphill s-curve from turn 1 to turn 2. Everybody's hard on the brakes, then hard on the gas to get to turn 3. Lots of room for wide-beamed fans. Bring a butt pillow.
Start/Finish line: Up high. A great view of the back straight where the cars get the highest speed. The pits are right down below you, on your side of the track, so it's like you're looking over the Crew Chief's shoulder when the car comes in. Sit on the north end near pit exit.
SECTION YOU FEEL IT IS BEST TO SIT IN Obviously, turn 2 and start/finish. Turn 7 has a lot of hard braking and cars trying to get the same line. Good action there.
WHERE TO GO AT THE TRACK The haulers are easy to get to. Don't forget to get Robby's autograph at his trailer. Victory lane is right off of the start/finish grandstand. There's an open paddock near turn 7 for GT series cars, and shuttles to take you darn near anywhere around the track.
WHERE TO DINE IN THE CITY There's no city close, except maybe Sonoma. Roads to anywhere - Vallejo, Sonoma, Novato, etc. - really limited access. Allow for gobs of time to make it anywhere. By the time you get there, you'll just want a pizza - or more beer... or both.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU'RE THERE ALL WEEKEND Use a lot of SPF 30, designate a driver, drink copious amounts of fluids, use the shuttles to get to your camping area. Check out the different looks of the track from different locations as the cars practice. Pick out where you want seats for next year.
OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION FOR A NEW VISITOR Spend some time travelling the backroads near the track. Drive to Napa. Lotsa wine tasting. With more time, go visit the casinos nearby, or better yet, the redwoods. Awesome.
